Fall / Winter 2018
The BOSS Womenswear Gallery Collection

Allow us to introduce the new Gallery Collection, designed by Jason Wu in his final collection as artistic director of BOSS Womenswear. Inspired by the minimalist works of New York-based artist Robert Morris, the tailored designs take menswear as inspiration, and transform it for the female form. At the heart of the collection, the iconic BOSS suit is reimagined in a new feminine silhouette, defined by a stronger shoulder and contoured waist that sensually sculpts the body.

New looks in the spotlight

The Gallery Collection showcases innovatively tailored designs in double-faced wool, raw-edged plaid and heavy crepe. Oversize knits in mohair and Merino wool blends, alongside embroidered satin dresses, infuse the capsule with a softer mood, while cotton and silk-satin shirts feature elegant dropped shoulders and long, volumious sleeves. Beautifully wearable, each piece strikes the perfect balance between femininity, form and function. Accessories meanwhile are crafted in vibrant leather and striking zebra-print calf hair.

Behind the scenes

Staging a New York Fashion Week show is a team effort. Backstage is a hive of activity as the models arrive, make-up and hair is perfected, and last-minute adjustments are made to each look. Lighting and music technicians, stylists, videographers, bookers and more all have their part to play before the presentation begins and the collection comes to life.
